Much news has been going around for the superhero movie industry. After
Marvel and
Disney confirmed that
Joss Whedon would be returning to direct the Avengers sequel and help work on the untitled TV series set in the
Marvel Cinematic Universe (as well as signing an exclusive deal that keeps him with the studio until 2015),
Warner Bros. is stepping up their game by approaching a known director and actor to helm their much awaited
Justice League film. That man is none other than
The Town director
Ben Affleck, who himself played a superhero in the form of
20th Century Fox's 2003 film adaptation of the
Marvel Comics superhero
Daredevil. The studio has already hired
Will Beall to write the script, and now talks are to bring the
Academy Award and
Golden Globe winner on board to take on DC's finest team of superheroes.
